The Get Growing Schools program is an initiative of Grow Australia and was developed to meet the needs of young people. Many of the Adult members of Grow consistently tell us that if they had access to the Grow Schools Program when they were young, their lives would be completely different and they may not have become so unwell. Earlier intervention can help to prevent mild depression which can often develop into deep despair, there is often only help available to those young people who have severe and urgent needs. Get Growing is target at young people who may be ‘at risk’.
